Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (TCM) stimulates the body's natural healing abilities and promotes physical and emotional well-being in balancing specific energy flow in so called meridians. From a western scientific point of view acupuncture stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord and brain, which will either change the experience of pain or trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones that influence the body's own internal regulatory system.
